Tournament

The tournament takes place on Saturday 16th April 2011. We kindly ask all participants to pre-register by 14th April ( 12:00 a.m. ).

Entry fee

The entry fee for the tournament is 150 czech crowns. Registration form is available online or in person at one of the Czech Cup tournaments. We accept only CZK.

Lunch

Lunch will be served in the venue. It costs 90 CZK and is ordered on registration and paid on the scene.

Time schedule

Registration of all participants takes place in the tournament venue from 8:00 a.m. till 8:45 a.m. .

Rules

Tournament is played according to the official international rules. Two points are awarded to the winner of each match.

Hockey

Each game is going to be equipped with the “Suplak” made by Zbynek Pilar. We are going to use 54 hockey games with 2-3 brand new pucks for each hockey game.

The software known from several World Championships is going to be used for processing results and printing personal fixtures sheets for every player.

Basic groups

Basic groups are created according to the world ranking. The draw of the tournament proceeds after the end of the registration right in the venue. The basic groups start at 9:30 a.m. .

Final groups

Final group “A” has 30 participants = the 5 top players from each basic group. The results of the mutual matches will be counted into the final group A. The other groups have either 24 participants (group B and C) or 18 participants (groups D, E, F and G).
The top 16 players from the final group A are promoted to the play-off ( the best-of-seven form) . In all the other groups there are play-offs for the top 4 players best-of-five form ). No placement matches (like bronze medal game) are held. The final table of each group are used for deciding the final placement. We expect the end of the tournament at around 9:00 p.m. .
